Smoky Chicken Tagine
A hearty and aromatic North African stew made with smoky chicken, hot spices, and creamy coconut.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken thighsbone-in and skin-on
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 large onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1 teaspoon corianderground
- β1/2 teaspoon paprikasmoked
- β1 can coconut milkfull-fat
- β2 cups chicken brothlow-sodium
- β1 tablespoon tagine spice blend
Instructions

Heat the oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cumin, coriander, paprika, and chicken. Cook until the chicken is browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the coconut milk, chicken broth, and tagine spice blend. Stir to combine.

Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 25 minutes.
