Smoky Roast Chicken
A classic recipe with a smoky twist, featuring roasted chicken and a variety of spices.
Ingredients

- ●2 tbsp smokysmoked paprika
- ●2 tbsp roastedchicken seasoning
- ●2 tbsp olive oilfor rubbing
- ●2 cloves garlicminced
- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●1 medium bell pepperchopped
- ●1 tsp saltto taste
- ●1 tsp black pepperto taste
- ●2 tbsp lemon juicefor glaze
- ●2 tbsp venezuelancumin

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, roasted chicken seasoning, garlic, onion, and bell pepper.

Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get some under the skin as well.

Season the chicken with salt and black pepper to taste.

Place the chicken in a roasting pan and drizzle with olive oil.

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

While the chicken is roasting, mix together lemon juice and venezuelan cumin in a small bowl.

After the chicken has roasted for 30 minutes, brush it with the lemon juice mixture.

Continue roasting the chicken for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until it is cooked through and the skin is crispy.

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
