Smoky Roast Chicken
A flavorful and aromatic roast chicken dish with a smoky twist, perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1 whole chicken (3-4 lbs) chickenfresh or thawed
- ●2 tbsp smoked paprika smokyspanish-style
- ●2 tbsp olive oilfor rubbing
- ●1 tsp saltto taste
- ●1 tsp black pepperto taste
- ●2 cloves garlicminced
- ●1 lemon lemonjuiced

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and garlic.

Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get some under the skin as well.

Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and rub it in.

Place the chicken in a roasting pan and put it in the oven.

Roast the chicken for 45-50 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Baste the chicken with lemon juice every 20 minutes or so.

Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
