Moroccan Green Bean Tagine
A hearty and flavorful North African stew made with green beans and a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Green beans
- β1 tablespoon olive oil Smokyfor added depth
- β1 small onion, finely chopped Wilted
- β2 teaspoons ground cumin Moroccanfor authentic flavor
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakesoptional, for heat

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the cumin, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the green beans to the pot and cook, stirring occasionally, until they start to tenderize, about 5 minutes.

Cover the pot and transfer it to the oven. Bake at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the green beans are tender.

Remove the pot from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs (if desired).
