Croatian Pasta Bake
A hearty, cheesy pasta dish inspired by Croatian cuisine. Perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- ●8 oz Pastapreferably penne or macaroni
- ●1 cup Sour Cream
- ●1 cup shredded Cheesea mix of cheddar and mozzarella works well
- ●1/2 cup shredded Croatian Cheese (or similar)optional, but adds authentic flavor
- ●1 medium Oniondiced
- ●3 cloves Garlicminced

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until softened.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, sour cream, shredded cheese, and Croatian cheese (if using).

Add the cooked onion and garlic mixture to the pasta mixture and stir well.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and top with additional shredded cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
