Ethiopian Beef Stir Fry
A quick and flavorful dish made with tender beef and a blend of spices. Serve with steamed rice or injera bread for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef stripssliced into thin strips
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β1 medium bell pepperchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons tomato pastecrushed
- β2 tablespoons stir-fry sauceavailable at most Asian markets
- β1 teaspoon crushed red pepperoptional, for some heat
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
- βchopped fresh cilantrofor garnish
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the skillet.

Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 4-5 minutes.

Add the tomato paste to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Add the stir-fry sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

Return the beef to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
