Braised Apple Cider Pork Chops
Tender pork chops braised in a rich apple cider sauce, perfect for a cozy fall evening.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 pounds pork chops1 inch thick
- ●1/2 cup brazilianBrazilian chili flakes
- ●2 tablespoons soursour apple cider vinegar
- ●2 large applesGranny Smith
- ●1 cup denseapple cider
- ●to taste salt
- ●to taste black pepper

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

Season pork chops with salt, black pepper, and Brazilian chili flakes.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove pork chops from pot and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add sour apple cider vinegar to pot. Scrape up any browned bits from bottom of pot.

Add apple cider to pot and bring to a simmer.

Return pork chops to pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer pot to preheated oven and braise for 20-25 minutes, or until pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Remove pot from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Strain sauce from pot and serve with pork chops.
