Tunisian Chickpea Toast
A flavorful and healthy snack inspired by Tunisian cuisine. This toasted bread is topped with a delicious mixture of chickpeas, herbs, and spices.

- β1 can (14.5 oz) chickpeadrained and rinsed
- β2 tbsp sourlemon juice
- β2 slices flakybread, preferably day-old
- β2 tsp tunisianras el hanout spice blend
- β1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp black pepper

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Slice the bread into 1-inch thick slices and toast until lightly browned.

In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork until they're mostly smooth.

Add the lemon juice, ras el hanout, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the chickpeas.
