Russian Oat Pudding
A traditional Russian dessert made with oats, sour milk, and a touch of sweetness.
Ingredients
- β1/2 cup rolled oats
- β1 cup sour milk
- β2 tbsp sugar
- β1/4 tsp cinnamonoptional
- β1 tsp vanilla extract
- βpinch salt
- β2 tbsp butter
Instructions

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

In a medium saucepan, bring sour milk to a simmer over medium heat.

Add sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt to the saucepan and stir to combine.

Gradually add oats to the saucepan and stir to combine.

Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until oats have absorbed most of the liquid.

Remove saucepan from heat and stir in butter until melted.

Transfer pudding to individual serving cups or a large serving dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden brown.
