Aussie Pork Belly Bao
A fusion of Asian flavors with Australian inspiration, combining the richness of pork belly with spicy kick. A perfect cure for a hangover.
Ingredients

- β4 pieces spicy bao doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1 bunch scallionschopped
- β2 tbsp soy sauce
- β1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- β1 tsp sesame oil
- β1 tsp sambal oelekoptional
- β1 clove garlicminced

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Score the pork belly in a crisscross pattern and rub with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.

If using sambal oelek, mix it with minced garlic and apply to the pork belly.

Place the pork belly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast for 20 minutes.

While the pork belly is cooking, prepare the bao dough according to package instructions.

Once the pork belly is done, let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin pieces.

Assemble the bao by placing a few slices of pork belly onto a bao dough, followed by chopped scallions.
