Venezuelan Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Venezuela, made with tender beef and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 lb beef stew meatcut into 1-inch cubes

- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 spicy roasted pepperssliced
- β1 tsp cayenne pepperadjust to taste
- β1 tsp black pepperfreshly ground

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the sliced peppers, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to the pot.

Stir to combine and cook for 1 minute.

Add the browned beef back to the pot, along with 1 cup of beef broth.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
