Spicy Almond Milk Tagine
A creamy and spicy dessert, inspired by the North African tagine, made with almond milk and a hint of Syrian spices.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Almond milk
- β2 tbsp Spicy syrup (e.g. chili syrup or honey)
- β1 tsp Syrian allspice
- β1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- β1 cup Spherified sugar spheres (optional)
- β1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
- β1/4 tsp Ground ginger
- β2 tbsp Unsalted butter

Combine almond milk, spicy syrup, allspice, sugar, cinnamon, and ginger in a saucepan.

Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the spherified sugar spheres (if using) and stir gently.

Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Add the unsalted butter and whisk until melted and smooth.

Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Serve chilled, garnished with additional spherified sugar spheres (if using).
