Crispy Azucarado Tacos with Streaky Bacon
A sweet and smoky twist on traditional tacos, featuring crispy azucarado shrimp and crispy streaky bacon.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Azucarado shrimppeeled and deveined
- β6 slices Streaky baconthick-cut
- β1/4 cup Marinated chipotle peppers in adobo saucestore-bought or homemade
- β4 Lime wedgesfor serving
- β1/4 cup Cilantrochopped
- β8-10 Tortillascorn or flour
- βto taste Salt and pepper
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oilfor frying

Heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add 6 slices of streaky bacon and cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.

Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

Add the marinated chipotle peppers in adobo sauce to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add the azucarado shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Warm the tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble the tacos by placing a few pieces of the crispy bacon, some azucarado shrimp, and a sprinkle of cilantro onto a warmed tortilla.
