Kenyan Lamb Stew
A hearty Kenyan-inspired stew made with tender lamb, sweet potatoes, and fluffy naan bread. This dish is perfect for a chilly evening.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb shoulderCut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 medium Sweet potatoesPeel and chop into 1-inch pieces
- β1 medium OnionChop into 1-inch pieces
- β4 pieces Fluffy naan breadCut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons Kenyan stew spice mixAvailable at most African or international grocery stores
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb cubes and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the sweet potatoes, Kenyan stew spice mix, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Add 2 cups of water to the pot and bring to a boil.
