Spanish Rice Paella
A classic Spanish dish made with saffron-infused rice, savory chicken, and a variety of vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Spanish rice
- β1 pound Chicken breastcut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 medium Sweet onionchopped
- β2 medium Fluffy tomatoeschopped
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 teaspoon Saffron threads
- β1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the tomatoes and cook until they start to break down, about 2 minutes.

Add the Spanish rice, saffron, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
