Sweet and Smoky British Duck Breast
A twist on traditional British roast duck, with a sweet and smoky glaze. Perfect for a special occasion dinner.
Ingredients
- β4 British duck breastboneless and skinless
- β1/2 cup Sugarwhite or brown sugar
- β2 tsp Smoked paprikasmoked or regular
- β2 tbsp British fat (or vegetable oil)for roasting
- β2 tbsp Apple cider vinegaror regular vinegar
- β1 tbsp Honeyoptional

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the duck breast with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the duck breast until browned on both sides.

Transfer the duck to a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the duck is roasting, mix together the sugar, smoked paprika, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.

After the duck has roasted for 10 minutes, brush the glaze all over the breast.

Return the duck to the oven and continue roasting for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
