Jamaican Pear Crumble
A sweet and tangy dessert featuring tender Jamaican pears topped with a crunchy oat and butter crumble.

- β1 cup oatsrolled
- β1/2 cup brown sugarpacked
- β1/2 cup cold buttercut into small pieces
- β1/4 cup all-purpose flourgluten-free
- β1 tsp cinnamonground
- β1/4 tsp nutmegground
- β1/4 tsp saltoptional

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Peel, core, and slice the Jamaican pears into 1-inch pieces.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced pears, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss until the pears are evenly coated.

Transfer the pear mixture to a 9x9-inch baking dish.

In a separate bowl, combine the oats, all-purpose flour, and cold butter. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
