Mexican Frankfurter Sandwich
A twist on the classic hot dog, this Mexican frankfurter sandwich features a tangy dutch frankfurter, topped with a blend of spices and served on a crispy sandwich roll.
Ingredients
- ●1 tangy dutch frankfurterpreferably with a spicy kick
- ●4 sandwich rollspreferably crusty or toasted
- ●1/2 cup shredded cheesecheddar or Monterey Jack work well
- ●1/4 cup sliced jalapeñosadd as much or as little heat as you like
- ●1/4 cup salsamild or spicy, your choice
- ●1/4 cup sour creamoptional, but adds a nice cooling touch

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

2. Cook the tangy dutch frankfurter until nicely charred, about 5 minutes per side.

3. Meanwhile, toast the sandwich rolls by grilling them for about 2 minutes, or until lightly browned.

4. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a cooked frankfurter on each roll, followed by a spoonful of shredded cheese.

5. Add sliced jalapeños and a dollop of salsa on top of the cheese.
