Tunisian Tagine Tart
A sweet and savory pastry filled with a tangy tagine filling, made with flaky pastry and topped with a sweet icing. Perfect for a snack or dessert.
Ingredients

- ●1 cup, homemade or store-bought taginesee note
- ●1/2 cup, granulated sugaroptional
- ●1 tsp tunisian spice blendavailable at most spice stores or online
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the flaky pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the pastry to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

In a small bowl, mix together the tagine, sugar, and tunisian spice blend.

Pour the tagine mixture into the pastry shell.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is set.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.

Transfer the tart to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the tart has cooled, drizzle with a sweet icing made from powdered sugar and water.
