Filipino Pork Sinigang Stew
A classic Filipino sour soup made with pork and various vegetables in a tangy broth.
Ingredients
- β1 pound pork shouldercut into bite-sized pieces
- β4 cups water
- β2 tablespoons sinigang mix
- β1 teaspoon tangy tamarind paste
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 medium tomatochopped
- β1 bunch bok choychopped
- β2 filipino long green chilisliced

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Sear the pork pieces until browned on all sides.

Remove the pork from the pot and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary and sautΓ© the onion and tomato until softened.

Add the sinigang mix, tamarind paste, and water to the pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Return the pork to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
