Ackee and Mediterranean Papillote
A flavorful and flavorful dish made with ackee, Mediterranean herbs, and a hint of crispy texture.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, drained and chopped Ackee
- β1 tsp, chopped Mediterranean herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano)
- β1/2 cup, flaked Crab meat (optional)
- β2 tbsp Lemon juice
- β1 tbsp Olive oil
- βto taste Salt and pepper
- β1 sheet, thawed Tender pastry (e.g., puff pastry)

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a bowl, combine ackee, Mediterranean herbs, crab meat (if using), lemon juice, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Roll out the tender pastry to a large sheet, about 1/4-inch thick.

Spoon the ackee mixture onto one half of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.

Place the papillote on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is heated through.
