German Potato Pilaf
A hearty, comforting dish from Germany, featuring tender potatoes and German sausage. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, sliced german sausage
- β2 large, peeled and diced potatoes
- β1 cup, uncooked pilaf
- β1 large, chopped onion
- β1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon pepper
- β2 tablespoons butter

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add sliced German sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.

Add diced potatoes to skillet and cook until they begin to brown, about 5 minutes.

Add chopped onion to skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add caraway seeds, salt, and pepper to skillet and stir to combine.

Add cooked sausage back to skillet and stir to combine with potato mixture.
