Cornmeal Tagine Cakes with Algerian Spice
A twist on traditional tagine, these crispy cornmeal cakes are infused with the warm spices of Algeria. Perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients

- β2 tsp algerian spice
- β1 cup, chopped tagine
- β1/2 cup, chopped tender
- β1/2 cup flour
- β2 eggs
- β1/4 cup water
- β1 tsp salt
- β2 tbsp olive oil

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, Algerian spice, salt, and flour.

In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, water, and olive oil.

Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Fold in the chopped tagine and tender.

Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the mixture into balls and flatten slightly into patties.
