Slovakian Beef Stew
A hearty Slovakian-inspired beef stew made with tender beef, fresh tomatoes, and a touch of traditional Slovakian spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef stew meat
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 medium Fresh tomatoeschopped
- β1 can Tomato soup
- β2 teaspoons Slovakian paprika
- β Salt and pepper
- β1 tablespoon Tenderolive oil

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the beef from the pot and set it aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the chopped tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper to the pot and stir to combine.

Return the beef to the pot and add the tomato soup.

Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Serve the stew hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or dill, if desired.
