Smoked Chicken Tagine
A rich and flavorful North African-inspired stew made with tender smoked chicken, algerian spices, and tender vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Smoked chicken breastboneless, skinless
- β2 tsp Algerian spice blendor to taste
- β2 tbsp Olive oilfor cooking
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 medium Carrotspeeled and chopped
- β2 medium Potatoespeeled and chopped
- β1 cup Dried apricotschopped
- β2 cups Chicken brothlow sodium

Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots and potatoes, and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the apricots, broth, and spice blend. Stir to combine.

Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.
