Smoky American Chicken Skillet
A flavorful and spicy skillet dish made with tender chicken, smoky bacon, and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breastscut into 1-inch pieces
- β 6 slices of smoky bacondiced
- β 1 large oniondiced
- β 3 cloves of garlicminced
- β 1 teaspoon chili powder
- β 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- β 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- β Salt and pepper to taste
- β 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions

Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the diced bacon and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes.

Remove the bacon from the skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside.

Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the cooked bacon back into the skillet and stir to combine.

Sprinkle the chili powder, cumin, and a pinch of salt and pepper over the top of the chicken and stir to combine.
