Smoky Pork Baozi
A delicious and authentic Chinese dish featuring tender pork and smoky flavors wrapped in soft baozi.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Pork shoulderShredded
- β1 package Baozi doughHomemade or store-bought
- β2 tablespoons Sesame oilFor brushing
- β1/4 cup ScallionsChopped
- β2 inches GingerGrated
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauceFor marinade
- β1 tablespoon SugarFor marinade
- β2 tablespoons CornstarchFor thickening

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded pork, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well.

Cut the baozi dough into small pieces and roll out each piece into a thin circle.

Place a tablespoon of the pork mixture onto the center of each dough circle.

Brush the edges with sesame oil and fold the dough over to form a bun.

Place the baozi on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops with sesame oil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
