Lamb Tagine
A rich and flavorful Indian-inspired lamb dish cooked in a traditional tagine, perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients
- β1.5 kg Lamb shoulder
- β1 large Onion
- β4-5 Garlic cloves
- β2 inches Ginger
- β2 large Sweet potatoes
- β1/4 cup Tender olives
- β2 tbsp Mediterranean spices
- β2 tbsp Coconut oil
- β1 tsp Salt
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Brown the lamb shoulder on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove the lamb and set aside.

Add the onions and cook until they are softened and lightly browned.

Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.

Add the sweet potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the olives, spices, and salt. Cook for 1 minute.

Return the lamb to the pot and bring to a simmer.

Cover the pot and transfer to the oven.

Bake at 275Β°F (135Β°C) for 2-3 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
