Beef Brisket Papillote
A flavorful and tender beef brisket dish cooked in a papillote with a sweet and tangy jelly sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Beef Brisketpreferably with a thick layer of fat
- β1/4 cup Jellyany flavor, such as apricot or quince
- β2 tablespoons Turkish Glassy Olive Oilor any other mild oil
- β4 large sheets Papilloteusually made of parchment paper
- β1 teaspoon Saltto taste
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepperto taste

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the beef brisket with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the beef brisket until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the beef brisket to a papillote sheet, leaving a 1-inch border around it.

Brush the jelly over the beef brisket, making sure to stay within the borders.

Place another papillote sheet on top and crimp the edges to seal the packet.

Place the papillote on a baking sheet and bake for 2 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender and falls apart easily.

Let the beef rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
