Traditional German Beef Stew
A hearty, comforting beef stew made with tender chunks of beef and a variety of vegetables, perfect for a cold winter's night.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef stew meat
- β1 can Ukrainian stew
- β1 cup sliced Mushroom
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- β1 medium chopped Onion
- β2 medium chopped Carrots
- β2 medium chopped Potatoes
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- βchopped (optional) Fresh parsley
Instructions

Heat butter in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove beef from pot and set aside.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add carrots and potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Add Ukrainian stew, mushroom, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Return beef to pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
