Thai Beet Tartlets
A sweet and savory twist on traditional Thai desserts. These beet tartlets are perfect for a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, peeled and cooked beet
- β2 tbsp, soy sauce umami
- β1 cup, all-purpose flour polish
- β1 sheet, frozen puff pastry, thawed bake
- β1/4 cup, granulated sugar sugar
- β2 large, beaten eggs
- β1 tbsp water
- β1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Cut out small squares of pastry, about 3 inches per side.

In a bowl, mix together cooked beet, soy sauce, sugar, eggs, salt, and water.

Place a small spoonful of the beet mixture onto one half of each pastry square.

Fold the other half of the pastry square over the filling to form a triangle or a square shape.

Press the edges together to seal the tartlet.

Brush the tops of the tartlets with a little bit of water and sprinkle with sugar.
