Pan-Seared Duck Bao with Hoisin Glaze
A twist on the classic Chinese bao, this recipe features pan-seared duck breast served in a soft, fluffy bun with a sweet and sticky hoisin glaze.

- ●4 Bao buns
- ●1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
- ●2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- ●2 tablespoons Sesame oil
- ●1 bunch Scallions
- ●2 inches Ginger
- ●2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- ●1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- ●to taste Salt

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the duck breast with salt and sesame oil.

Pan-sear the duck breast in a hot skillet until browned on both sides.

Transfer the duck to the oven and cook until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).

Meanwhile, combine hoisin sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan.

Bring the glaze to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Slice the cooked duck into thin strips.

Split the bao buns in half and toast until lightly browned.
