Argentinian Beef Empanadas
A classic Argentinian dish, these beef empanadas are filled with tender beef and spices, perfect for a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β500g Ground Beef
- β1 Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 tsp Cumin
- β1 tsp Paprika
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- β1 package Empanada Doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1 Eggsfor egg wash
- β1 cup Waterfor egg wash

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Once the beef is browned, add the onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent.

Roll out the empanada dough and cut out circles of dough.

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto one half of each dough circle.

Brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash and fold the other half over the filling.

Crimp the edges of the empanada to seal the filling inside.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with the egg wash.

Bake the empanadas in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
