Saudi Arabian Lamb Wrap
A flavorful and juicy lamb wrap inspired by the cuisine of Saudi Arabia, filled with tender lamb and crunchy vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Lamb shoulderCut into thin strips
- β2 tablespoons Unique spice blendAvailable in most Middle Eastern markets
- β4 wraps Dense flatbreadFound in most Arabic or Middle Eastern markets
- β1 medium Chopped onionRed or yellow work well
- β1 medium Chopped cucumberSeeds removed
- β1 medium Chopped tomatoFresh, not canned
- β1 cup Shredded lettuceAny variety works
- β1/4 cup Chopped fresh parsleyOptional, but adds flavor

Season the lamb with salt, black pepper, and unique spice blend.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Transfer the lamb to a baking dish and roast in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, toast the flatbread by wrapping it in foil and heating it in the oven for 5-7 minutes.

Assemble the wraps by spreading a layer of lamb down the center of each wrap, followed by chopped onion, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, and parsley.
