Grilled Tofu Yakitori
A Japanese-inspired grilled tofu skewer dish, flavored with umami and unique seasonings. Perfect for a quick and easy dinner.
Ingredients
- β200g Tofufirm tofu
- β2 tbsp SakeJapanese rice wine
- β1 tbsp Mirinsweet Japanese cooking wine
- β1 tbsp Soy sauceJapanese soy sauce
- β1 tsp GochujangKorean chili paste
- β1 tsp Brown sugaroptional
- β4 Green onionsscallions
- β1 tsp Japanese biryaniJapanese curry powder
- β1 tsp Unique seasoningoptional

1. Cut tofu into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together sake, mirin, soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, and Japanese biryani.

3. Place tofu cubes in a shallow dish and brush the sake mixture evenly over the tofu.

4. Let the tofu marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

5. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

6. Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

7. Brush the grill or grill pan with oil to prevent sticking.

8. Grill the tofu skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until nicely charred.
