Egyptian Oat Tagine
A unique twist on traditional oatmeal, inspired by the flavors of Egypt. This hearty breakfast dish is perfect for a cold morning.
Ingredients
- β1 cup oatsrolled oats
- β1 tsp tagine spice blendor a mix of cumin, coriander, and cinnamon
- β2 tbsp maple syrupadjust to taste
- β1/4 tsp unique spiceoptional
- β1 cup velvety milkor any non-dairy milk alternative

In a medium saucepan, bring the velvety milk to a simmer.

Add the oats, tagine spice blend, and unique spice (if using) to the saucepan.

Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid.

Stir in the maple syrup and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Serve hot, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream (if desired).
