Spicy Turkish Skillet Lentil
This Italian-inspired skillet dish is a flavorful combination of spicy Turkish flavors with the comfort of lentils. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 cup dried Lentils
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β2 cloves Garlic
- β1 lb Spicy Italian sausage
- β1 tsp Turkish red pepper flakes
- β1 can Diced tomatoes
- β1 tsp Skillet seasoning
- βto taste Salt
- βchopped (optional) Fresh parsley
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the lentils, red pepper flakes, diced tomatoes, and skillet seasoning.

Stir to combine, then add 2 cups of water.
