Spicy Pea and Split Lentil Tagine
A hearty North African stew made with split lentils, peas, and a blend of aromatic spices.

Ingredients
- β1 cup split lentils, rinsed
- β1 cup peas
- β2 tsp arabian spice mix
- β2 tbsp velvety olive oil
- β1 medium onion, chopped
- β2 cloves garlic, minced
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp black pepper
- β1 tsp cumin, ground

Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add split lentils, peas, arabian spice mix, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Stir well.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until lentils are tender.

Stir in remaining 1 tbsp olive oil.
