Malaysian-Style Paella
A twist on the classic Spanish dish, this recipe combines the flavors of Malaysia with the comfort of a hearty paella. Perfect for a family dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
- β1 cup paella rice
- β1 pound chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- β1 medium oniondiced
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 pound shrimppeeled and deveined
- β2 tablespoons sambal oelek
- β1 tablespoon fish sauce
- β1 tablespoon palm sugar

Heat oil in a large paella pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2 minutes.

Add rice and stir to coat with oil and mix with chicken and seafood.
