Norwegian Velvety Potato Casserole
A creamy, comforting casserole filled with norwegian potatoes, velvety sauce and a hint of richness.
Ingredients
- β3 large Norwegian potatoespeeled and thinly sliced
- β1 cup Velvety sauceready-made or homemade
- β2 tablespoons Butterunsalted
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 cup Shredded cheddar cheeseoptional
- β1/2 cup Milkwhole or semi-skimmed

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add thinly sliced potatoes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in velvety sauce and cook for a further 2 minutes.

Transfer potato mixture to a baking dish.

If using cheese, sprinkle over the top.

Dot top with butter.

Pour milk over the potato mixture.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
