Pan-Seared Bao with Sweet Potato Hash
A delicious breakfast or brunch dish featuring pan-seared bao with a crispy sweet potato hash and a hint of Kenyan spices.
Ingredients
- β2 medium Sweet Potatopeeled and diced
- β4 pieces Baostore-bought or homemade
- β1 tsp Kenyan Spicesa blend of cumin, coriander, and turmeric
- β2 tbsp Vegetable Oilfor pan-frying
- β1 bunch Green Onionschopped (optional)
- β1/4 cup Fresh Cilantrochopped (optional)
Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the diced sweet potatoes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the Kenyan spices and stir to combine.

Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, pan-fry the bao pieces in the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil until golden brown.
