Jerusalem Artichoke Gratin
A creamy, cheesy gratin that showcases the natural sweetness of Jerusalem artichokes. Perfect as a side dish for a special occasion.
Ingredients
- β2 large Jerusalem artichokespeeled and thinly sliced
- β1/4 cup Vibrant port winereduced
- β1 cup Gratin cheesegrated
- β3 cloves Charred garlicminced
- β1 cup Portuguese milkwhole
- β1 tsp Saltto taste

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large saucepan, combine sliced Jerusalem artichokes and reduced port wine. Cook over medium heat until the artichokes are tender.

In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced charred garlic and cook until fragrant.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of cooked Jerusalem artichokes.

Sprinkle grated gratin cheese over the artichokes, followed by a drizzle of garlic butter.

Repeat the layering process two more times, ending with a layer of cheese on top.

Pour in Portuguese milk and sprinkle with salt to taste.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the gratin is bubbly.
