Jamaican Beef Stew
A hearty Jamaican-inspired beef stew made with tender chunks of beef, flavorful spices, and a hint of vibrant jerk seasoning.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds beef stew meatcut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
- β1 teaspoon vibrant jerk seasoning
- β1 can spicy diced tomatoes
- β2 medium onionschopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 cups stew broth
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the beef on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the jerk seasoning, vibrant jerk seasoning, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.

Add the diced tomatoes and stew broth. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.

Check that the beef is tender. If not, continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
