Venezuelan Chicken Empanadas with German Twist

- β2 cups all-purpose flourfor the empanada dough
- β1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) yeastactive dry yeast

- β1 tablespoon sugarfor the empanada dough
- β1/2 cup veggie oilfor frying the empanadas
- β1 teaspoon vibrant empanada seasoning (or a mix of paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder)for flavor

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten it slightly into a disk shape.

Place a tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the center of each disk. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal the empanada.

Heat the veggie oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add 2-3 empanadas to the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
