Crispy American Cheese Sandwich
A classic comfort food made with crispy bread and melted American cheese. Perfect for a quick snack or lunch.
Ingredients
- β4 slices American cheese slices
- β2 slices White breadpreferably day-old bread
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- βto taste Salt
- β Optional: lettuce, tomato, or picklesadd your favorite toppings
Instructions

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Butter one side of each bread slice.

Place one bread slice, buttered side down, in the skillet.

Top with a slice of cheese, a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and/or a few pickle slices (if using).

Place the second bread slice, buttered side up, on top of the filling.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.

Remove from heat and let cool for a minute or two before serving.

Cut the sandwich in half and serve hot.
