Croatian Chicken Pilaf
A flavorful Indian-inspired pilaf dish made with Croatian chicken and warm spices. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Chicken breastBoneless and skinless
- β1 cup Basmati riceUncooked
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- β1 teaspoon Croatian paprika
- β1 teaspoon Garam masala
- βto taste Salt
- β2 cups Water

Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

Add chicken to the saucepan and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove chicken from the saucepan and set aside.

Add basmati rice to the saucepan and cook for 1 minute.

Add water, Croatian paprika, garam masala, and salt to the saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover.

Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
