Crunchy Spring Rolls
A classic Chinese appetizer with a crunchy twist, made with fresh spring rolls and crispy sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Wheat flour spring roll wrappers
- β1 package Spring roll fillingAvailable in most Asian grocery stores
- β1/4 cup Sesame seeds
- βfor brushing Warm water
- βfor frying Vegetable oil
- βfor serving Soy sauce

1. Prepare spring roll filling according to package instructions.

2. Lay a spring roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner pointing towards you.

3. Place about 1 tablespoon of spring roll filling in the center of the wrapper.

4. Brush the edges of the wrapper with warm water.

5. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up the wrapper to form a tight cylinder.

6. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

7. Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

8. When the oil is hot, add a few of the spring rolls to the skillet (do not overcrowd).

9. Fry the spring rolls until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

10. Remove the spring rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

11. Sprinkle the spring rolls with sesame seeds and serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.
