Turkey Croatian Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with turkey, Croatian sausage, and vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Turkey breast or thighs
- β1 pound Croatian sausagecan substitute with kielbasa
- β1 large Onion
- β2 medium Carrots
- β2 medium Potatoes
- β1 can (14.5 oz) Tomatoesdiced
- β3 cloves Garlic
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β2 Bay leaves

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the Croatian sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion to the pot and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the garlic, salt, and black pepper to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the turkey to the pot and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced tomatoes, bay leaves, and browned sausage back to the pot.

Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
