Argentinian Empanadas
A classic Argentinian dish filled with seasoned beef and onions, perfect for a hearty snack or dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β1 medium Onionfinely chopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon Saltto taste
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepperto taste
- β1 Eggbeaten
- β1/4 cup Warm Waterfor egg wash
- β1 package Empanada Pastry Doughhomemade or store-bought
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out empanada pastry dough to 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

In a bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Place a tablespoon of beef mixture in the center of each dough circle.

Brush edges with beaten egg and fold dough in half to form a half-circle.

Press edges to seal and use a fork to crimp.

Brush tops with warm water and place on a baking sheet.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
