Classic Algerian Chickpea Tagine
A hearty and comforting stew originating from Algeria, made with chickpeas and aromatic spices.

- β1 pound Fatty lamb or beefCut into 1-inch cubes, use boneless cuts

- β1 teaspoon CorianderGround

Heat the warm olive oil in a large clay or ceramic dish over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cook for an additional minute.

Add the lamb or beef, cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, and chickpea tagine spice blend, stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook for 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
